SNIKT!
Hey Everyone, It's been a while since I posted anything, mostly just been busy with life. I'm now in my last week of school for the semester so I thought I'd post the first of many new school peaces ti come. For my Computer colouring class I did this as my final project. Its a Steve McNiven page from Old Man Logan and Inked by Dexter Vines. All the colouring was done in Photoshop which I'm finally startin to feel comfortable with, and the word Balloon was done in Illustrator. Hope you like and stay tuned for more to come.

Muscle Overlays
These are from my Anatomy class, We did a sustained angle study of the figure, then a bone and muscle layer, all in color pencil layers.
New Portrait
This new piece Is a 3 hour study I did in my heads and features class. It's a reductive model drawing done in vine charcoal. I was pretty happy with the way this one came out, at first when I did the angle study it didn't seem anything special. However, once I started to model the structure the picture just poped.

Original Stuff
Hey so these are some images I created for a digital media class last semester. We had to create a flip book of 5x5 images with a common theme. So I did a bunch of pin ups of characters I created for one of my comic concepts. Anyway something happened between my computer and the internet, because the colours are all screwed up again just like my terminated piece from a while back. Fortunately find it kind of fun to see them with such different colours, so I don't mind, but still it's interesting.
More Art work
So this here is a painting of my hand I did in my first year, this is the first time I've had a chance to scan it in. It's done with oils, and took a day a weekend I think, anyway I think it turned out ok needs more green and the shape got warped in the painting process but otherwise, I still like it over a year later.
This is a self portrait I did for my Principles of Drawing class, again from last year. Unfortunately the original is now framed behind glass so I couldn't take a photo, so all I have is this really bad copy from my e-mail. It's done with black and white conte on grey paper, and took able 8 hours spread over a weekend.

h
This ones a design for a video game cover, we had to make up our own game so i made a longboarding game, with a rather obvious pirate theme., Its done in water colour, with a .01 ink outline around the forms and some gouache in the title.
This is a cover for a fantasy romance novel called the nymph king, about an underwater vampire grown bored with the fish ladies, so hes come to our world to steal our women. Its done in Acrylic with a bit of water colour mixed in the clouds.
For this painting we had to design a comic cover so, i thought I'd do the greatest hero of all time, the Batman. THis is all done in acrylic.

Grotesque
Hey So this is a recent assignment I did for traditional illustration. We were given the word grotesque and were to told to go from there. I decided to do a really skinny starving child eating one of those deep sea fish , its a combination of a few but mostly the dragon fish eel. I started with a yellow green wash and then just worked up the characters from there. I'm not really satisfied with it thoe. It could probably use a few more layers of paint in various areas.

Superstar
Hey so I did this one for my traditional Illustration class, We were given the word superstar and to go from there so I came up with this. I've only done watercolor a few times but I still think it turned out pretty good, all things considered, although I think my blending could still use a bit of work.
